Objective
Drop the shoulder to send a defender the wrong way.
Instructions
- 1
Approach a cone at a jog.
- 2
Dip your shoulder strongly to one side, then push the ball to the opposite side.
- 3
Accelerate past the cone.
- 4
Complete 10 reps each direction.
Coaching Points
- ✓ The shoulder drop must be committed — a half-hearted dip fools nobody.
- ✓ Keep the ball close before the feint so the touch away is controlled.
- ✓ Eyes up to "look" in the fake direction for extra deception.
Age Notes
U8 Practise the shoulder drop without a ball first so the movement feels natural.
Variations
- → Combine with a step-over for a double feint.
- → Use in a 1v1 live situation.
