Set Piece Delivery

Objective

Deliver accurate corners and free kicks to predetermined target zones.

Equipment

• Balls
• Goal
• Cones

Instructions

1. 1

   Place two target cones in the box: one near post, one penalty spot.

2. 2

   Taker delivers 5 inswinging and 5 outswinging crosses from the corner flag.

3. 3

   Two receivers attack each delivery.

4. 4

   Score 1 point per cone hit, 2 points per goal.

Coaching Points

• ✓ Inswinger: strike the outside of the ball with the inside of the foot.
• ✓ Outswinger: strike the inside of the ball with the outside of the foot.
• ✓ Pick your target zone before the run-up — commit to it.

Variations

• → Add a goalkeeper.
• → Deliver from a free-kick position 25 yards out instead.
