Objective
Finish clinically in a 1v1 situation against an advancing goalkeeper.
Instructions
- 1
Striker starts 25 yards from goal with the ball. Goalkeeper starts on their line.

Striker dribbles in. Goalkeeper can advance to close the angle.
- 3
Striker must decide: chip, slot to the side, or round the keeper.
- 4
5 reps each direction of approach.
Coaching Points
- ✓ Stay composed — the striker has the advantage if they stay calm.
- ✓ Watch the keeper's feet: if they are committed to one side, go the other.
- ✓ Do not over-dribble — take the shot before the angle closes.
Variations
- → Start with a through ball from a teammate instead of carrying from deep.
